Deep Diver FAQs

The PADI Deep Diver specialty qualifies divers to explore down to a maximum depth of 40 metres/130 feet, which is the limit for recreational diving. The course teaches the planning, skills and awareness needed to dive safely in the 18โ€“40 m/60โ€“130 ft range. To go beyond recreational limits, divers would need technical (tec) diver training.
